3DKnit. pavilion in Cubitt Park showcased Biomimicry as a form finding tool for textile architecture.  3DKnit is a product developed by Jane Scott a world renown expert in 3D knitting and Stephanie Chaltiel from MuDD Architects.

3DKnit pavilion highlights new architecture manufacturing techniques. 3DKnit is made of partly recycled colourful threads including some glowing in the dark ones. This dynamic curvy geometry textile pavilion is digitally knitted in Leeds in one piece which form finds its final shape while inviting the visitors for a tactile experience. It mimicks resilient patterns in nature. These textile pergolas or event temporary architecture are meant to be available for commercial manufacture in the coming year.
